The Laudium Community Policing Forum (CPF), in collaboration with the Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) and Laudium SAPS, conducted a highly successful Operation Stop and Search on the evening of Friday, 23 May 2025.
The joint operation, which initially commenced at the entrance of Itireleng and later moved to the R55, focused predominantly on combating driving under the influence of alcohol, along with other serious traffic-related offenses. Several motorists were arrested by TMPD officers for drunk driving, while numerous fines were issued to offenders for violations including unroadworthy vehicles, failure to carry valid licenses, and expired vehicle registration discs.
We commend the outstanding leadership of Superintendent Khoza, who led the operation with determination and discipline. We also acknowledge and appreciate the active involvement of Ward 61 Councillor, along with the Chairperson of the Laudium CPF and Tshwane West Sub-District CPF, who were present and at the forefront throughout the operation.
Over 30 Plus dedicated Laudium CPF patrollers and members were deployed in full force, assisting TMPD officers and SAPS in maintaining order, ensuring smooth coordination, and increasing visibility across all checkpoints.
This is one of many operations planned to curb crime and lawlessness in our community. Together with our partners in law enforcement, we remain committed to building a safer, more disciplined Laudium.
