The Laudium Community Policing Forum (CPF) Youth Desk, in collaboration with Laudium Disaster Management (LDM), has partnered with SAPS Laudium in a successful station improvement initiative aimed at enhancing the visibility, safety, and functionality of the Laudium Police Station.
This collaborative effort, carried out on Monday, 2 June 2025, brought together dedicated volunteers from both the CPF Youth Desk and LDM alongside SAPS members. The team worked together to clear overgrown trees and dense vegetation that had long obstructed visibility of the station from the main road. They also assisted with general cleaning and maintenance of the station’s exterior.
By revitalizing the police station environment, the initiative not only improves public safety but also boosts morale among officers and presents a more welcoming space for community members accessing services.
This cleanup forms part of a broader community-driven approach focused on strengthening the relationship between law enforcement and the community, while promoting civic responsibility and pride among local youth.
The Laudium CPF, Youth Desk, LDM, and SAPS Laudium extend their gratitude to all volunteers involved and encourage residents to join hands in similar initiatives that promote community safety, unity, and improved service delivery.
Together, we build a safer, stronger Laudium.
