Hijacking Incident – Himalaya Street | Friday, 25 July 2025

The Laudium CPF is issuing this official statement to clarify and correct false information currently circulating on social media regarding the hijacking involving a Kismet Pharmacy delivery motorbike.

Confirmed Facts:
• Three (3) suspects were involved — not four, as previously and incorrectly claimed.
• Laudium CPF members responded immediately to pursue the suspects and worked directly with Kismet Pharmacy management.
• A tracker was activated, leading to the recovery of the speed point machine and other items.
• Laudium CPF has positive leads on the suspects and is working closely with law enforcement on the case.

Misleading Claims:

We strongly condemn any private security company falsely claiming involvement in this incident. These claims are misleading and false — they were not part of the response or recovery efforts.

Such actions undermine real work being done on the ground and cause unnecessary confusion in the community.

If you have CCTV footage or witnessed the incident, please share this information directly with Laudium SAPS or other Law enforcement agencies . Do not submit this to private security companies or individuals seeking to use it for personal gain.
